1. Single Registration & License

Establishments no longer need separate registrations for Contract Labour, BOCW, etc.

  • Common Registration: One electronic registration for all establishments with 10+ workers.
  • Single License: Contractors can obtain a single license valid for 5 years to work across multiple locations.

2. Critical Welfare Provisions

Women in Night Shifts

Allowed in all establishments (including factories) from 7 PM to 6 AM, subject to consent and safety measures.

Annual Health Check

Mandatory free annual health check-up for all employees aged 40 years and above.

Appointment Letters

MANDATORY: Every employee (including daily wagers) must be issued a formal Appointment Letter. Failure to do so attracts fines.

3. Penalties & Reporting

  • Accident causing Death: Imprisonment up to 2 years or Fine ₹5 Lakh.
  • Obstructing Inspector: Fine up to ₹1 Lakh.
  • Accident Reporting: Must report to authorities in Form VI within 12 hours.
